Together We Are Stronger

On June 13, 2026, the Huntingdon County Core Group of BPF volunteers held their annual fundraising event at the Captain Jack Lions Club in Mill Creek. This year’s event raised an incredible $9,991.00 to support our friends and neighbors battling cancer in Huntingdon County. The theme for this year was “Together We Are Stronger.” Attendees were invited to place flowers in the garden of care, either in honor of a cancer survivor or in memory of a loved one who has passed away. The day was filled with food, music, games, basket raffles, 50/50, and so much more!

In honor of the event, the Huntingdon County Commissioners graciously proclaimed Saturday, June 13th to be “Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund” Day in Huntingdon County. Thank you to Rickey Himes and her Core Group of volunteers, Captain Jack Lions Club, and everyone who supported this fantastic event! As we celebrate 20 years of BPF, we are especially thankful for your years of steadfast support.
