Give for the Cause

This year’s “Give for the Cause” event to benefit Bob Perks Fund was held on June 14, 2025, at the Captain Jack Lions Park in Mill Creek. This extraordinary event grossed an incredible $12,920.36. All of these funds will directly support cancer patients in Huntingdon County. This inspiring day featured food, a large basket raffle, speeches from local cancer survivors and caregivers, and a dinner and beautiful dedication ceremony to honor our cancer survivors, fighters, and those who have passed. In honor of the event, the Huntingdon County Commissioners graciously proclaimed June 14, 2025, as Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund Day.  

THANK YOU to Rickey Himes and her “Core Group” of volunteers, Colonial Florist and ARK Contracting, LLC. for the beautiful roses, the Captain Jack Lions Club for use of the park, all those who donated items, event sponsors, and all of the attendees that made the day such a great success.
